Is your company insured?
To ensure that both you our company . UNIQUE FENCE is insured.
what’s the difference between spruce and cedar?
Life expectancy is the main difference. Spruce fences will last 8 to 10 years. However cedar fences will last 15 to 20 years, with proper care. UNIQUE FENCE uses only quality materials either spruce or cedar.
How deep are the posts set?: Posts set only 18? deep will lean over time. UNIQUE FENCE sets all steel posts approx. 30? – 36? deep in concrete.
How far apart are the posts set?
If the distance between posts is large, your fence will sag and lean. UNIQUE FENCE sets all metal posts approx. 8' apart on our 6ft. fences and 6’ apart on our 8 ft. fences
What type of nails are used?
Cheaper nails will leave black streaks and not hold properly. UNIQUE FENCE uses 1-7/8? galvanized ring shank nails on all pickets. How is the concrete mixed?
Some fence installers pour water into the post holes and then pour in the concrete. This leaves unmixed concrete in the post hole, and a very weak concrete around the post. UNIQUE FENCE mixes all concrete before pouring it into post holes.
What type rails are being installed?
UNIQUE FENCE uses 2x3 and 2x4 rails.
Do you recommend using stain and seal on fences?
Protected wood will last longer and sustain less damage over time. UNIQUE FENCE offers both pre-dipped wood and stain sealer after construction.
